Raymond A. Shalkowski Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond A. Shalkowski of Carmel, Indiana, born in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 14, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Shalkowski and Helen Ushinski Shalkowski; his son Kurt Shalkowski; and his sisters, Eleanor Rhoades, Gertrude Rudolph and Philomena Witos.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth A. Catt Shalkowski of Carmel; and his children, Brian J., Robin M. and Anne M. Wuensch of Indianapolis. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.

“Ruth and Family of Ray, Merla and I were sad to read of Ray's passing. When Ray enjoyed better health a few years back, we enjoyed having lunch with he and Ruth from time to time. As neighbors he and Ruth often shared special treats with us when they shopped for fresh produce or bakery goods around town. We still kept in contact once we moved out state to live in our Florida home full time in 2020. PJ and Merla O'Donnell”
