He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin J. Gerrits and Nellie L. Gerrits (Hall); his wives, Carolyn Gerrits and Donna Gerrits; his daughter Michelle Bilik; his stepson Michael Crowley; and his siblings, Mary Lou Schmarrow, James Gerrits, David Gerrits and Ellen O'Toole.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gina Chinni (Jim) and Maria McIntyre; his stepdaughter Kathleen Crowley; his grandchildren, Garret Chinni (Maria), Carolyn German, Claire Dempsey (Matt), Abigail Weiss (Ryan), Michael Bilik, Daniel Bilik, Timothy Bilik, Kaylia McIntyre and Gabriela McIntyre; and his great grandchildren, Anthony German, Abel Dempsey and Atlas Weiss.
