He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Newkirk and Elna Newkirk. He is survived by: his children, Cathy Thoman (Tim) and Mark Newkirk (Katja); his grandchildren, Paul Thoman (Hannah), Taylor Overholser (Trey), Michael (Maria Thoman) and Nikole (Nina Newkirk); his great grandchildren, Teresa and Max Thoman; and his siblings, Janis Wolf and Tom Newkirk.
