He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Phillips Deering Sr.; his daughter Jill Yaeger; his father Milton C. Deering Sr.; and his brothers, James Deering, Robert Deering, David Deering, Benjamin Deering and John Deering.
He is survived by: his adoptive children, Cary Deering (Cynthia) and Kelly Agard (Jeff); his son Milton Deering (Mickey); and his siblings, Jan Deering (Linda), Lana Wilson (Bill), Nancy Bond, Linda Miller (Vic), Richard Deering, Debbie Miller (Thom) and Matt Deering (Jeanie). He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
