He was predeceased by: his parents, Meinrad and Loretta Braun, Sr. (Linenger); his wife Elaine B. Schmidt; and his sisters, Lucille, Bernice and Betty.
He is survived by: his children, Michael T. Braun (Taritha) of Sheridan and Kathleen E. Herbort (Jeffrey) of Marion; his grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jim, Joe, Brandon, Adam, Karen, Carmen, Loretta and Emily; and his friend Charles E. Herriman (Johnny Sue) of Marion. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
