She is survived by: her mother Isabelle Newlin (Bower); her daughters, Lindsey Spitz and Shelby Spitz (Alexander Spohr); her close friend David Gerichs; her sister Anne Schmidt; her nieces, Casey and Cara Schmidt; her pets, Myla and Laney; and also, Jennifer Seppala (Ben) and Joseph Gerichs (Cierra).

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cincinnati Zoo, ALS Association, or North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS).
