He was predeceased by: his parents, Huber Swain and Mary Eunice Swain (Davis) of Lizton, Indiana.; his wife Charlotte Swain (Robbins); and his friend Judy Gest (Funk). He is survived by: his brother Ken Swain (Brenda); his children, Laurie Vesper (Chris) of Powder Springs, Georgia, George Swain of Indianapolis and Bethany Stone (Warwick) of Nashville, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, James Vesper and Hannah Vesper.
