With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joanne Ellen Polivka (Carmel, Indiana), born in Detroit, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 26, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John B. Mishtal and Jeanne Bohonos Mishtal. She is survived by: her sons, Stephen Polivka (Brooke) of Westfield, IN and Jonathan Polivka (Kathleen) of Cincinnati, OH; her husband Phillip; her brothers, John (Phyllis) of Indiana, PA and Joseph (Cindy) of Athens, TN; and her nephews, Aaron and David Mishtal.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Indiana, 50 91st St #100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
