Jeffrey Day Obituary
On January 30th Jeff Day passed away peacefully in Carmel Indiana . Born on August 27, 1949 in Columbus Ohio to the late Robert and Mary Day (nee Hasbrook). He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Beth Onorato, also by his brothers Richard & Ronald . He is Survived by his children, Alexandra Stark, son in law Nick; Celia Day and Maggie Day. Also by his sisters, Dianne Pritchard (David), Debra Day (Chris Bodish), sisters in law, Joyce Day and Sandra Bradshaw. Jeff was "Opa” to his much loved grandchildren, Jack, Mia, Anna and Sully aka Soul Man. He will be sorely missed by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jeff graduated from The Ohio State University with Honors in 1972 . His career was multi -faceted. He was a legend in the Jewelry Industry as an importer in San Francisco and later worked as Regional Manager for Garrett Book Co in Indianapolis .
With his beloved Beta, they travelled the world together. Embarking on their journey in San Francisco, where they began their family. They returned to The Midwest in the 90’s. His love for family and friends never wavered. Jeff was a frequent fan of his grandchildren’s athletic events, plays and concerts and just loved spending time with them .
He was a proud member of Buckeye Nation and a frequent attendee at The Shoe.
Jeff was a free spirit with a dry wit who brought laughter and light to our lives.He danced through life’s adversity with one hand waving free.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday February 8th, 2020 at Flanner Buchanan - Carmel seating at 11:00am, service at 11:30am.
