We are sad to announce that on January 8, 2021, at the age of 79, James Herdman of Carmel, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Herdman and Stella Herdman (Borel); and his sister Rita Brown (Herdman). He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Michelle Thompson (Leon), Annette Affeldt (Kevin) and Christopher Herdman (Vivienne); his grandchildren, Ashley, Caitlin, Jake, Vanessa and Anthony; and his stepgrandchildren, Shawn and Brynn. He is also survived by husband for 55 years and a loving father and grandfather.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Merciful Help Center (http://www.mercifulhelpcenter.org), a mission for those in need that the family has supported for many years.
