He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Thomas F. King and Henrietta King (Brown); and his son Dr. Ted King. He is survived by: his daughter Dr. Jeanine Childs (C. Gregory) of Fort Wayne; his sister Carol Jean Vorhees of Fredonia, Kansas; and his grandchildren, C. Andrew Childs (Becca) of Avon, J. Perry Childs of Fort Wayne, Joel Childs (Brittany) of Huntington, Eileen King of Minneapolis, Minn, Annie King of Davis, Calif, Sarah King (Fulvio Brembilla) of Sarasota, Fla. and Emily King of Forest Park, Ill.
