As Gene departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Gene. Though Gene may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine LaFollette (Reed) and William LaFollette; his brother Ronald LaFollette; and his daughter Jennifer Williams (LaFollette). He is survived by: his wife Alice LaFollette; his daughter Pennie Skinner; his siblings, Gary LaFollette (Sally) of Carmel and Shirley Thurston of Noblesville; and his grandchildren, Luke Skinner, Lexi Skinner, Stephanie Damrell (Bryan) and Candice Hughes (Andrew). He is also survived by cats, squirrels, birds.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Leppert Mortuary – Carmel Chapel (900 N Rangeline Rd, Carmel, IN 46032). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
