He was predeceased by: his parents, Fortunato Carpio Alano, Sr. and Carmen Delfina; his siblings, Medarlo Alano, Menelio Alano, Jose Alano, Vicente Alano, Fe Alano and Merced Ang; and his brother-in-law Victorio Bulatao.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his siblings, Dr. Ester Bulatao, Joaquin Alano and Dr. Calixto Alano (Teresita); his siblings-in-law, Ludy Alano, Soledad Alano and Manny Ang; his children, Chris Alano (Tanja), Andrew Alano (Jeannie), Eric Alano (Lisa), Dmitri Alano (Julie), Brian Alano (Becky) and Danise Alano-Martin (Mat); the mother of his children Nancy Mitchell; his grandchildren, Nicole Hanson (Joe), Nathan Alano, Chance Hunter and Kristen Fannin (Tyler); and his great grandchildren, Wesley, Melody and Kaia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, extended families, and countless friends.
