He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Buckthal and Emma Buckthal; his wife Ruth; his son David; his daughter-in-law Anne; his children, Diana Winston (Allan) and Paul (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Jill Buckthal-McCuin (Brandon), Josh Winston (Cindy), Julia Honold (Justin), Eric Buckthal (Tiffany) and Craig Buckthal (Ana). He was also cherished by 10 great-grandchildren.
