He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Helen Harpenau and Jacob Harpenau; his wife Cherry "Chib"; his stepfather Nick; his parents-in-law, Gladys and Marvin Ellis; his son-in-law Sam Sanderson; his children, Chuck Harpenau (Denise), Anna Sanderson and Melissa Kropp (Lou); his grandchildren, Amber Ibsen, Erin Harpenau, April Harpenau, Ashley Kello, Scott Sanderson (Annie), Brian Sanderson (Shelby), Louis Kropp Jr. (Brandy), Jason Kropp (Wendy) and Eric Kropp (Shannon); and his siblings, Bob Harpenau (Janice), Janet Lemaire, Mary Weyer, David Harpenau (Judy), Kris Harpenau, Tim Hagedorn (Diane), Mark Hagedorn (Karen) and Stan Ellis (Teenie). He was also cherished by 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
