He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Ed" Hiland and Verla Hiland (Downing); his son Chad Hiland; his brother Harold Hiland; and his nephew Mark Hiland.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Hiland (Gust) of Merriville, IN.
