Myrtle L. Cooksey Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Myrtle L. Cooksey of Carbon, Indiana, born in Greencastle, Indiana, who passed away on June 22, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Kean Sr. and Almira L. Kean (Williamson); her husband George W. Cooksey; her son Ricky Kim Cooksey; and her siblings, Louella Bruner, Mary York, Josie Douglas, Margaret Branham, Virginia Coffman, Albert Kean, Harriett Kean, Truman Kean, Johnny Kean and Forrest Kean.
She is survived by: her children, Marcia Kay Holmes (Tom), Debra Carlene Olinger, Michael Lee Cooksey, Timothy Allen Cooksey (Misty) and Lori Ann Bault (Fred); and her grandchildren, Madonna Wood (Joe), Jeffery Farthing (Kaysa), Jacob Olinger, Michael Cooksey (Ashley), Scott Cooksey (Valerie), Chris Cooksey (Jamee), Justin Cooksey, Sara Cooksey, Ashley Cooksey, Jared Cooksey, Ricky A. Cooksey (Jess), Tiffany Targett (Eric), Kandie Steadman (Russell), Andy Cooksey (Grace), Randy Cooksey, Nathan Cooksey, Natalie L. Cooksey, Brittany Bault and Jonny Bault (Tessa). She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
