He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mattox and Ruth Mattox (Stedman); his siblings, William Mattox, Jr., Roger Mattox (Marie), Mary Noble (Ed), Naomi Price (Richard) and Carol Lawson (David); and his siblings-in-law, Freda Mattox and Jack Cotton.
He is survived by: his wife Emily Mattox (Watkins); his children, Dannyelle Mattox, Alvin Mattox (Amber) and Matthew Mattox (Betty Theisz); his siblings, Connie Cotton and John Mattox; his grandchildren, Jeremiah, Anna, Atticus and Keely; and his sister-in-law Judy Mattox. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
