He was predeceased by: his father Edward "Ed" Burst; and his siblings, Cheryl Freeman, Mary Ann Cash, Michelle Riley, Chris and Mark Burst.

He is survived by: his mother Doris Yvonne Burst (Weatherholt); his children, Jamie Denton (Chris), Shane Burst (Ami Walls), Stefanie Thompson, Louisville and Andrea Thompson (Jason Ijames); his grandchildren, Hannah (Kirsten Denton), Levi Hendershot, Keaton Walls and Lorelei (Connor Ijames); and his siblings, Rosie Powers (Mitch), Hawesville, Carla Harlen, Charles "Bud" Burst (Sandy) and Mike Burst.

While visiting the funeral home, a mask is to be worn and social distancing is appreciated.
