He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Combs and Lottie Combs (Stidham); his wife Patricia Sue Combs; his daughter Amanda Gail Combs; and his siblings, Oscar, John (Ish), Emmett, Kenneth Combs, Allene Murphy, Murlena Koroll, Omeda Beswick, Bonnie Borradaile, Polly Hilgeman and Pauline Combs.

He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy Lynn Combs and Pamela Sue Johnson; his grandson Nathan Lee Middleton; and his sisters, Judy Miller and Sandra Wells. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
