He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Stephens and Barbara Stephens (Cropper). He is survived by: his children, Bryan Stephens (Katherine) of Flora Indiana and Brittany Stephens of Lafayette Indiana; and his siblings, Mark Stephens of Delphi Indiana, Jimmy Stephens of Cutler, Indiana, Sherry Stephens of Delphi and Pam Pate of Birmingham, Alabama.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Stephens's memory to the American Cancer Association.
