He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Yates and Eva Delong Yates; his daughter Marla J. Yates; and his stepdaughter Jane Padgett. He is survived by: his wife Juanita Yates of Camden; his children, Nancy Hartman Hohn of Campbellsville, KY and Brad Yates of Lafayette; his stepchildren, Garry Kern of Lebanon and Regina Padgett of Kokomo; and his sister-in-law Delorise A. Yates of Delphi. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
