He was predeceased by: his father Robert H. Eaker; his wife Frances "Lorene" Slagle; his siblings, Alfred Eaker, Gretta Allman, Betty Hall, Roberta Jordan, Harold "Buddy" Eaker and Carol Freeman; and his son-in-law Eddie Plummer.
He is survived by: his children, Robert "Bobby" Eaker (Mary) of Camby, Carol Plummer-Perdue (Don) of Mooresville, Linda Warner (Tim) of Greenwood, Laura Neeb (Scott) of Plainfield, Tim Eaker (Christina) of Mooresville and Curt Eaker of Greenwood; his fathers-in-law, Bobby Slagle (Sandy) of Indianapolis and Paul Slagle (Robin) of Monrovia; and his sisters, Rosie Totten, Patsy Davis and Sandra Hawkins of Brazil. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, many great and great grandchildren, along with a host of extended family and friends.
