He was predeceased by: his father Prentice Poteet; and his brother Richard A. Poteet. He is survived by: his wife Patti Poteet (Quill); his children, Sherrie L. Gray, Sarah Pope, Jenny Fine and Jason Giegerich; and his brother Robert Poteet (Veronica). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
