We bid farewell to David Samuel Alsup of Camby, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 31, 2025 at the age of 85. David Samuel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Alsup and Willa Mae Alsup (Marlow); his granddaughter Janet "Elizabeth" Alsup; and his siblings, Tom, Bill, Sue, Ralph, Carol, Linda Joyce and Shirley Ann Alsup.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Alsup of Camby; his children, Lora Alsup Allen (John) of Clay City, Floyd Alsup of Las Vegas, Jason Alsup I (Kim) of Camby, Joseph Alsup of Camby, Benjamin Alsup I (Tiffany) of Camby, Michael Alsup I (Jessica Weaver) of Camby, Aaron Alsup (Cruz Acosta) of Indianapolis and Carolyn Frances "Charity" Alsup Burgess (Micheal) of Camby; and his siblings, Danny Alsup of Greenwood, Jerry of Indianapolis and James Alsup of Indianapolis. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the West Newton Worship & Youth Center (7860 W Mooresville Rd, Camby, IN 46113). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the West Newton Cemetery (Camby, Indianapolis, IN 46113). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the West Newton Worship and Youth Center.

Lynn Alsup wrote a sympathy message

“No one could have asked for a better father in law. Although he was more of a dad to me than I could have ever imagined, we were good friends. I enjoyed our years of watching the colts, we had many morning walks at the park which was time i truly treasured as he was a very busy man. He was an excellent grandfather to my children and my grandchildren thought he hung the moon. I am sad that he is gone, but his legacy he left for his family will hopefully never waiver. I love ya dad- rest in peace”
