He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George M. Higbie and Jessie Higbie (Cole); his children, Vicky Newsom (Robert), Jon Higbie, Jr. and Vernon Higbie (Amy); his grandsons, Clayton Newsom (Brittany), Jon Higbie, III (Grace) and William Higbie; and his great grandchild Lauren Higbie. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
