He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Cox and Betty Jean Cox; his son David Michael Cox; and his granddaughter Aliyah Cox. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Matheny; his children, Robert Cox (Ashley) of North Vernon, Jason Allen Cox (Amanda) of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Jennifer Lynn Cox of Evansville; his siblings, Timothy A. Cox of Hamilton, Pete Cox (Sasha Woodward) of Aurora, Carla Smith of Hamilton, Ohio and Anita Turner of Hamilton, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Patrick Cox of Midwest City, Nathan Cox of Midwest City, Aidan Cox of Midwest City, David Cox of Midwest City, Skylar Cox of North Vernon, Kaylen Cox of North Vernon, Adylin Cox of North Vernon and Iziah Cox of Madison.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home (420 S State St, North Vernon, IN 47265). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery (1415 Msh N Ln, Madison, IN 47250).
