She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Koelmel and Doris Koelmel (Brehen); her husband Vernon "Bud" Brooks; her sons, James Brooks and Don Brooks; and her brother Lloyd Koelmel.
She is survived by: her children, Jack Brooks (Nancy) of North Vernon, Norma Pressler (Walter) of Indianapolis and Mary Jo Brooks of Scottsburg; her daughter-in-law Delberta Brooks of Butlerville; her siblings, Norman Koelmel Jr. of Texas and Mary Bottorff (Nolan) of Seymour; and her grandchildren, Brian Pressler of Savoy, Michelle McKinney (Scott) of Indianapolis, Dawn Cohee (Ron) of Butlerville, Jeremiah Brooks of Butlerville, Josh Brooks of Butlerville, James Brooks (Jean Wisler) of Butlerville, Christopher Brooks (Karen) of North Vernon and Pamela Stuckwisch (Brad) of Seymour. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Dorothy to the Graham Baptist Cemetery Fund.
