He was predeceased by : his parents, Alex Collins and Rosie Collins; his son Richard Collins; and his siblings, Martin Collins, Isaac Collins, Bainard Collins, Wearley Collins, Pauline Collingsworth, Euna Sexton, Etta Collins and Ann Ramsey.

He is survived by : his wife Barbara Collins of Butler; his children, Earlene Jacobs of Lynchburg, Rick Collins of Butler, Barb Ortiz (Louie) of Spencerville and Randy Collins (Brandy) of Spencerville; and his brother Earl Collins of Waterloo. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Northern Indiana Bluegrass Association for the benefit of scholarships.
