With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard L. Troyer of Butler, Indiana, born in Laotto, Indiana, who passed away on June 20, 2024 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Howard L. Troyer to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Darwin Troyer and Ethel Troyer (Kniss); his former life partner Gloria Troyer (Getts); his wife Dorothy Winslow Troyer (Bricker); his siblings, Paul Troyer and Norma Jean; and his brothers-in-law, William Kessler and Richard Getts.

He is survived by : his children, Michael (Mary Troyer), Karin (Gregory Hook) and Max (Diane Troyer); his children-in-law, Michelle and William Hodges of Fitchburg; his children, Teckla and John Sliger of Garrett; his grandchildren, Micah Troyer, Marc Troyer, Mitch Troyer, Michele Moster, Troye Hook and Jacob Troyer; his stepgrandchildren, Monica Sliger, Nathan Sliger, Theodore Hodges, Patrick Hodges and Rachel Hodges; his sisters, Helen Getts of Hamilton, Janet (Lowell Johnson) and Mariam (William Blue); and his pet Ears.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, June 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home (1860 S Center St, Auburn, IN 46706). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
