With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evana Marie Keener of Butler, Indiana, born in Auburn, Indiana, who passed away on February 23, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence J. Lee and Roberta J. Lee (Charleswood); her grandparents, Burdett and Faye Charleswood; her husband Jerry L. Keener; and her sister Judy Freeman.
She is survived by: her great grandchild Evana; her children, Debbie Hammer (Danny) of St. Louis, Vicki Eckert (Mark) of McCordsville and Rick Keener of Butler, Indiana; her grandchildren, Nathaniel Hammer (Courtney), Matthew Hammer (Emily), Shea Emowrey (Daryl), Brett Eckert, Molly Eckert, Ashley Smith (Zac), Heath Keener (Emily), Colton Keener and Morgan Fulk (Beau); her siblings, Danny Boren of Auburn and Clara Haiflich (Arkie) of Auburn; and her close friends, Kim Scott, Darlene Myer and Tona Shinabery. She is also survived by her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital, which was a charity near and dear to Evana's heart, and one she frequently supported.
