He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Appleton and Opal Appleton (Gray); and his siblings, Bob Appleton, Tom Appleton, Joe Appleton, Jane Slusser and Katie Michael.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Massey; his children, Cathy Walters of Logansport, IN, Cora Krieg (John) of Carthage, MO, Cindy McGuire of Burrows, IN and Curtis Appleton (Alisa) of Burrows, IN; his grandchildren, Brianna Walters of Delphi, IN, Ali Krieg of Carthage, MO, Brady McGuire of Logansport, IN, Kyle Appleton of Franklin, IN, Austin Appleton of Burrows, IN and Zach Appleton of Burrows, IN; his great grandchild McKinzie McGuire of Logansport, IN; and his brother Harold Appleton of Walton, IN.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Burrows Fire Dept. or the Radnor United Methodist Church.
