He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Hewitt and Luetta Reinholt Hewitt; his wife Kathleen Sue "Katie" Boatman; his daughter Brenda (Dave Sanders); and his brothers, Harold Reinholt (Marlene) and Jack Hewitt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen (Steve Quillen) of Simpsonville and Suze (Michael Reynolds) of Kokomo, Indiana.; his siblings, Ethel Campbell, Dallas Hewitt and Shirley Hallam (Jack); his sister-in-law Becky Scott Hewitt; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Andy Kalinoski of Charlotte, NC, Michael, Shannon Quillen, Katie Reynolds, Mel Reynolds and Taylor Reynolds; his great grandchildren, Mia, Collin, Trevor, Harrison and Matthew; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Moss Hewitt and Charles Campbell.
