He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Land and Ruth Land (Fisher); his wife Ruby Land (Leach); his daughter Ruth Land-Maxey; his granddaughter Teresa Land; and his siblings, Gene Land and Sharon Conrad.
He is survived by: his children, David L. Land II (Jennie) and Rebecca Adams (Ryan); his grandchildren, Michael D. Maxey, Austin D. Maxey, Duwain D., Kristina M. Maxey, Matthew J. Smith, Stephanie R. Land, Tiffany A. Land, Kaitlyn E. Smith, Rick L. Maxey and Tyler R. L. Adams; and his great grandchild Garrett Mason. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
