He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Houser and Mary Houser (Edgington); his wife Ruth F. Wagner; and his sister Donna Sue Lalyer. He is survived by: his children, Mike Houser of Bryant, David Houser (Cindy) of Decatur, Stephen Houser (Michelle) of Decatur, Patty Stephens (Lee) of Portland, Cathy Reef (Bob) of Berne and Connie Aker (Brad) of Bryant; and his sister Diane Logan of Decatur, Fourteen. He is also survived by Fourteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.
