He is survived by: his spouse Virginia Wendel Tuesday (Leininger); his sons, James Robert Wendel (Carol) of Bryant, Jeffery Duane Wendel (Diane) of Mt. Pleasant, David Dean Wendel (Carla) of Fort Recovery and Dennis Eugene Wendel of New Corydon; his grandchildren, Jill Jenkins of Coldwater, Lisa Stewart of Coldwater, Steven Wendel of Bryant, Bradley Wendel of Bryant, John Wendel of Bryant, Craig Wendel of Kansas City, Keith Wendel of Bryant, Stephanie Jacobs of Alexandria, Justin Wendel of Coldwater, Hannah Wendel of Fort Recovery, Hunter Wendel of Fort Recovery and Holden Wendel of Fort Recovery; and his siblings, Jack Wendel (Joan) of New Corydon and Betty Patch of Geneva. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
