He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Shepard and Roy Shepard; and his sister-in-law Susie Toler (Briner). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Dennison; his daughter Vanessa Shepard-Smith (Andrew); his granddaughter Emily Smith; his siblings, Sandy Holland (Milt), Cledus Shepard, Sam Shepard (Kathy), Gene Shepard (Johnna), Aron Shepard (Tina) and Mark Shepard; and his siblings-in-law, Craig Toler and Debbie Nightengale. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
