It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilbert Henry Wessel Jr. of Brownstown, Indiana, who passed away on August 3, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Henry, Sr. and Viola Steinkamp Wessel; his siblings, Kenneth Wessel, Debron Wessel, Edward Wessel, Walter R. Wessel and Rosa Nell; and his sisters-in-law, Eunice Wessel, Juanita Wessel, Bernice Wessel, Mary Lou Wessel and Wilma Wessel.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Mae Meahl; his daughters, Jo Gail Ross (Mike) of Brownstown, Kim Loree Lucas (Bob) of Brownstown and Dena Lyn Hutchinson (Ronald) of Vallonia; his siblings, Lelard Wessel, Kelso Wessel (Judy), William Wessel, Ivan Wessel (Shirley), Violet Wischmeier (Robert), Audra Deaton (Mike) and Opal Roark (Ronald); his grandchildren, Michael Brant Ross, Shawn Ross (Tammi), Karra Hercamp (Cody), Stacie Teipen (Josh), Jesse Hutchinson (Kristy) and Tessa Ray (Brad); and his great grandchildren, Mason Ross, Maddox Ross, Josie Ross, Cooper Teipen, Isaac Hutchinson, Eli Hutchinson, Ian Hutchinson, Owen Hutchinson, Remington Ray and McCoy Ray. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to St. Peter's Lutheran Church trustee projects or St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, Brownstown.
