He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Wingler and Celia Robbins Wingler; his sister Marie Jones; and his cousin Hershel (Hazel Wilcutt). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Wingler of Brownstown; his sons, Gilbert W. VanWinkle (Laura) of Seymour and Kent Wingler (Denise) of Scottsburg; his brother Lester Wingler (Elaine) of Medora; his grandchildren, Gregory VanWinkle, Allison VanWinkle, Brandon Wingler and Steven Wingler; his great grandchildren, Zacary VanWinkle and McKinsie VanWinkle; and his cousins, Tom Wilcutt and Betty Clampett. He is also survived by four nephews and one niece.
