With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Max J. McKain of Brownstown, Indiana, who passed away on November 9, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. McKain and Bess McKain (Cockerham); his wife Jennie Irene Seals; and his siblings, Richard McKain, Roscoe McKain (Anita), Otis McKain (Doris), Johnny McKain (Naomi), Roland McKain (Lorraine), Dean McKain (Madeline), Jack McKain (Betty), Dallas McKain (Betty), James Phillip McKain, Catherine Critchlow (Pete), Ethel Jackson and Shirley Robinette (Delmer).
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry Settle (Jeff) of Vallonia and Debra McKain of Brownstown; his grandchildren, Lindsey Goshorn (Gregg), Kevin Settle, Kourtney Hoevener (Tyler) and Kyan McKain; and his great grandchildren, Remy Goshorn, Baylor Goshorn, Gentry Goshorn and Ellisyn Hoevener. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to Jackson County Sheriff K-9 Unit or Hoosier Christian Village Auxiliary.
