She was predeceased by: her parents, Aubrey Carter and Ona Mae Carter; her husband Robert Shelton; her daughter Carolyn Dick (Fred); her grandson Dannie Cornett; her great grandchildren, Jeremy Cornett and Hudson Conn; her siblings, Jim, Dallas, Willard, Donnie, Nola and Nova; and her son-in-law Dennis Chapman.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Shelton of Brownstown, David Shelton (Belinda) of Brownstown, Marie Klimczewski (Gary Sinks) of Vallonia, Robbi Jaynes (Mike) of Seymour, Brenda Wheeler of Brownstown and Sheila Bennett (Ed) of Brownstown; her sister Roslean Wilmoth; and her grandchildren, Barbara Vojkufka (Lonnie), Tammy Temple (Brian), Robert Shelton, Jr. (Nancy), Linda Libreros (Ray), Steven Shelton (Marlana), Delbert Allman, Brandy Drummond (Jason), Gavin Jaynes, Tommy Wheeler (Amy), Tina Zabel, Courtney Conn (Todd), Kelly Shelton, Brooklyn Lockman, Makenzie Bennett and Madison Bennett. She is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Spurgeon Funeral Home (206 E Commerce St, Brownstown, IN 47220). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to the First Pentecostal Church in Brownstown.
