He is survived by: his children, Kathy Nichols (Mike), Daniel Carmichael (Dee) and David Carmichael (Suzanne); his sisters, Kaye Sullivan, Phyllis Chasteen and Janey Bowman; his grandchildren, Katie Volk (Scott), Christy Tormoehlen (Nathan), Justin Nichols (Alisha), Alexandra Zaring (Corey), Jacob Carmichael, Hannah Valentine (Logan), Matthew Carmichael (Sue), Wesley Carmichael (Emily), Hannah Carmichael, Bethany Carmichael, Nathan Carmichael, Chloe Carmichael, Caleb Carmichael and Micah Carmichael; and his great grandchildren, Finley, Claire Volk, Emalee Goss, Tyler Tormoehlen, Connor, Elizabeth, Abigail, Charlotte Nichols, Mila, Owen, Leo Carmichael, Charlie, Cooper, Carter Zaring and Parker Valentine.
