He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward R Lucas and Anna Z Kadlecova Lucas. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Paswater (Toby), Wendy Shoop (Steve) and Carrie Roberts (Todd); his grandchildren, Jalen Paswater, Zoie Paswater, Carson Shoop, Gunnar Shoop, Coral Roberts and Ariel Roberts; and his sister Barbara Hovener (Paul).
