He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Combs and Donna Edwards Combs. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Black; his children, Debra Upchurch (Dennis) of Lafayette and Dale Combs (Kim) of Valrico, Florida; his grandchildren, Sara Upchurch of Charlotte, John Upchurch (Aimee) of Essex Junction, Troy Combs of Valrico and Drew Combs (Tanya) of Valrico, Florida; his great grandchildren, Aura Upchurch, Taylor Combs, Alexandra Combs and Emily Combs; his siblings-in-law, Joella Gallion (Joe), Betty Combs and Roger Black (Madeline); and his cousin Tom Combs. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. will be practicing social distancing according to CDC guidelines.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to Medora Goes Pink (HOPE) or Donor's choice.
