He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Connell and Thelma Connell (Williams); his wife Janet Sue "Jan" Tyree; and his siblings-in-law, Harrison Collins, Mike Tyree, Greg Tyree, Jeff Tyree, Tina Tyree, Ned Pennington and James Leinart.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Connell (Denise) of Vallonia and Cindy Lambring (Carey) of Brownstown; his grandchildren, Chandler Lambring (Jessica), Cassidy Wurtzburger (Kyle), Carson Lambring, Cameron Connell, Maggie Connell and Kate Connell; his great grandchildren, Hudson Lambring, Lane Lambring, Jack Lambring, Nolan Wurtzburger, Nash Wurtzburger and Navy Wurtzburger; his sister Pamela "Pam" Collins of Mitchell; and his siblings-in-law, John Tyree (Debbie) of Orleans, Jack Tyree (Kelly) of Mitchell, Elaine Tyree of Tell City, Linda Pennington of Mitchell, Kay Leinart of Seymour, Judi Parr (Richard) of Seymour and Jill Kluender (Andrew) of Mitchell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Spurgeon Funeral Home (206 E Commerce St, Brownstown, IN 47220). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to the Special Olympics Indiana Jackson County or La-Or-Ma (Lawrence County, Orange County, Monroe County) Shrine Club in Bedford.
