He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy A. Sturgeon and Adah Sturgeon (Waskom); his wife Sadie Sturgeon (Maxie); his son Danny Sturgeon; and his siblings, Eileen McCulley, Roger Sturgeon and Gene Sturgeon.
He is survived by: his children, David Sturgeon of Brownstown, IN, Roger Sturgeon (Cassandra) of North Vernon, IN, Frieda Sturgeon Fentress of Taylorsville, KY and Michael Sturgeon (Debbie) of Englewood, FL; and his siblings, Roland Sturgeon (Anita) of Salem, IN and Brenda Wright of Brownstown, IN.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
