It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bonnie Marlene (Black) Combs of Brownstown, Indiana, who passed away on April 7, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hollis Black and Frieda Gibson Black; and her husband John William "Bill" Combs. She is survived by: her children, Debra Upchurch (Dennis) of Lafayette and Dale Combs (Kim) of Valrico, Florida; her grandchildren, Sara Upchurch of Charlotte, John Upchurch (Aimee) of Essex Junction, Troy Combs of Dover and Drew Combs (Tanya) of Lithia, Florida; her great grandchildren, Aura Upchurch, Taylor Combs, Alexandra Combs and Emily Combs; her siblings, Joella Gallion (Joe) and Roger Black (Madeline); and her sister-in-law Betty Combs. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. will be practicing social distancing according to CDC guidelines.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to Medora Goes Pink (HOPE) or Donor's choice.
