It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Waverly T. Eakins of Brownsburg, Indiana, born in Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on April 26, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ula Mae Eakins (Walker) and Waverly Sr. Eakins; his wife Karen Eakins (Weigand); his brother Charles Eakins; and his nephew Charles Eakins Jr. (Waverly).

He is survived by: his brother Earl Eakins; his daughter Karla Payne (Tim); his stepdaughter Becky Pritchett (Steve); his grandchildren, Ali Pritchett, Maddie Pritchett, Jacob Payne, Connor Payne and Ian Payne; his nieces, Sandra Appler and LeeAnn Eakins; and his nephew Brent Eakins.

Memorial contributions may be given to Disabled American Veterans and The American Cancer Society.
