He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Clayton and Mable Clayton; his siblings, Harry Clayton (Betty), Calvin Clayton (Betty), Randy Clayton and Julia Wright (Philbert); and his daughter Teresa Evans.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Clayton (Crook); and his children, Tracy Alan Clayton (Carol), Timothy Clayton and Tana Green (Randy). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
