He is survived by: his wife Margaret Deckard; his children, Lauren M. Deckard, Steven R Deckard II (Samantha) and John F. L. Deckard; his parents, Russell Deckard and Karen Deckard; and his siblings, Jeannie Deckard-Jinkins (Larry) and Matthew A. Deckard (Lisa). He is also survived by six grandchildren.
